I've been making hanging wine bottle candles by cutting off the bottom of the wine bottle. The discard from this is the circular bottom ... which has found new purpose as a central component for windchimes. I have also used broken bottoms to embellish some broken pottery mirrors. But I kept thinking there might be yet another use. (And I am sure I will find more.) What about Christmas ornaments? So here is one example of a Christmas ornament I designed.
I drilled a hole in the top and bottom and then wired a snowflake charm inside. The prism below is crystal. Makes a lovely ornament which allows the light to shine through. There are two different charm options and a variety of glass colors. Here is a link to more of these.

That's beautiful, Teena! I'll never look at the bottom of a bottle the same way again. -Elizabeth W. Benicia
